Rhys Hopkins is a photographer and filmmaker from Wales, working across the Middle East since 2008. He was recently granted the UAE Golden Visa status with the title of Director, a proud achievement given eligibility is based on evidence of work produced over the years that is seen to benefit and contribute to UAE culture.

Equally passionate about commercial campaigns and real-life, human-interest stories, he is driven to produce results and form long-lasting relationships with ambitious clients and agencies. Given his passion for travel and culture he is ready to take assignments anywhere in the world.

Regardless of the size of the production team, Rhys takes a clean, cinematic approach to his work, which has appeared across media platforms, billboards, magazine covers, published editorials, and even on public transport.

A naturally creative eye for detail and an intuitive understanding of client's needs, Rhys can contribute to a project from conception through to delivery. He has been commended on many occasions for his professionalism, preparation and efficiency, creating a positive working environment and working under pressure.

Prior to working in the media production industry, Rhys was a teacher in Wales and then Ras Al Khaimah; during this period he travelled to Grenada on an educational partnership, as well as carrying out charity fundraising and multiple volunteer stints in Nepal. He also spent some time working in Australia and as a GM in England.

Away from work Rhys has a love for his family and his dogs. A lifelong basketballer, musician and traveller who is always seeking the new adventure, experience and knowledge.
